Description of SA 516 GR.60N NACE + HIC Tested Plates

SA 516 GR.60N NACE + HIC Tested Plates are advanced carbon steel plates enriched with elements such as manganese, phosphorus, and sulfur. These plates are developed in line with NACE and HIC compliance standards, making them suitable for boiler and pressure vessel applications. They provide excellent weldability, ductility, and strength under both low and moderate temperature conditions. These plates deliver consistent corrosion resistance and perform reliably in aggressive or challenging environments. They are especially suited for use in welded pressure vessels where notch toughness is a critical factor.


Test Certificates

To ensure full product quality assurance, we provide all essential test certifications to our customers. These include Mill Test Certificates (MTC) as per EN 10204 3.1 or 3.2, third-party inspection reports, raw material test certificates, 100% radiography test reports, and specialized HIC and NACE test certifications.


Documentation

Each product is accompanied by a comprehensive set of verified documents that detail all relevant information. These include a fumigation certificate, commercial invoice, heat treatment charts, and a guarantee letter. Additional documents consist of a Certificate of Origin issued by the manufacturer or embassy, mill test reports, supplier-attested certificates, and certified reports from NABL accredited laboratories.

Tempering Notch toughness can be improved by quenched cooling from hot rolling or normalizing by the supplier. If such a faster cooling rate is agreed upon between purchaser and supplier then the steel is also to be tempered at 1200 F.
Applications Used for weld fabrication of pressure vessels that require improved notch toughness for lower than ambient temperature service.
