Overview of Alloy 310

Applications and Thermal Behavior of Alloy 310
Alloy 310 is suitable for a variety of demanding environments including slightly oxidizing, cementing, nitriding, and cycling applications. It also performs well in cryogenic environments due to its low magnetic permeability and excellent toughness down to -268°C.
When exposed to temperatures between 650°C and 950°C, the alloy is subject to sigma phase precipitation. However, its toughness can be restored by reheating the material to a temperature range of 1100°C to 1150°C.
